Welcome to the Play Section!
The Play Section provide a wide range of Play activities for children all across Wigan and Leigh.
The Playin' Out Team is our Outreach Play Team. Check to see if they are in a park near you.
Norley Hall Adventure Playground
We have an adventure playground at Norley Hall. The playground has a dedicated team of Playworkers who run play sessions all year round.
Play Watch
The Play Section run the Playwatch scheme to encourage the local community to become more involved in their local Play area.
We currently have around 60 community contacts who currently keep a watch on their local Play area. We simply ask them to let us know when something is wrong, such as damage to the equipment. The community contacts are given names and numbers of the people who are directly responsible for the Maintenance and repairs on the Play area. This makes it easier for them to report incidents and for us to respond to issues speedily.

Wigan Play Association
Wigan Play Association is a voluntary organization whose main aims are to promote and improve opportunities for children's play within the Wigan Borough. The Association organize community based play schemes for children aged 5-13 years in the Summer, Christmas and Easter school holiday periods.
