Wigan Food and Drink Festival 2015

Welcome!

Foodie fun starts Tuesday 3 March with a five-day world food market, and ends Sunday 15 March with a carvery and a celebration of mums.

 

This year's festival promises fabulous food, great beer, and plenty of merriment throughout.

World Food Market

Join us to discover new tastes and gourmet delights at the Wigan Food Market

Tuesday 3 – Saturday 7 March

9am - 5.30pm

Market Place & Standishgate, Wigan

Take your tastebuds on a trip around the world when this ever popular market returns to the town centre. Enjoy mouth watering treats including dishes from Morocco, Germany and Spain to name just a few. There will also be lots of treats to take home and enjoy including spices, coffees, cake, savoury goodies, bread and much more. 

 

Wigan CAMRA Beer Festival

Thursday 5 – Saturday 7 March

Robin Park Indoor Sports Centre

This year is the 28th Wigan CAMRA Beer Festival and it is one of the biggest in the north. Over 60 ales, 35 ciders and perrys and may draught foreign beers will be available- alongside live music and food. 2015 has a Viking theme and prizes will be awarded for best fancy dress at the Saturday session!

Friday 6: 12pm – 5.30pm, £1

Friday 6: 5.30pm – 11pm, £3

Saturday 7: 11.30am – 10pm, £2

A full line up of free live music awaits shoppers and food lovers including favourites The Lancashire Hotpots and a host of local bands.

 

Wigan Wine Festival

Come toast this year's Wigan Wine Festival at Haigh Hall

Friday 13 March

4pm – midnight

Haigh Hall

A night for true wine lovers. Building on last year’s success, we have two floors of red, white and rose wines as well as sparkling wines and champagnes. Food will be available, and there will be live music across both floors.

 

Wine priced very keenly.

 

Leave the car at home with our free shuttle bus service. Departs on the hour from 4pm until 10pm from Gallimores Restaurant, The Wiend, Wigan. Last bus departs Haigh Hall back into Wigan at 10.30pm.

Mother’s Day Carvery

Andrew Sturgess will be leading our kitchen team giving mums a gourmet afternoon to remember.
