WLCT Frees up HR with Snowdrop Software

Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust (WLCT) has bought Human Resource software from Snowdrop to integrate its employee information and increase the efficiency of HR.

WLCT’s 6 strong HR team will be using Snowdrop’s Spring (recruitment), Evergreen (personnel records management), and Fountain (training administration) modules to manage the records of its 800 employees. Currently information is held not only across a variety of databases, but also on manual systems.

Sandra Aldcroft, HRD Manager for WLCT, envisages that the system will be invaluable in a number of ways. Spring will assist in tracking applicant progress, and also allow HR to build up a robust database of skills that can be referred to for future posts.

WLCT employs people in a wide range of jobs, from leisure attendants to grave diggers - Fountain will be used to manage the courses, both internal and external, to stay on top of the diverse training requirements required for these roles.

Reports will enable HR to produce information as and when it is needed, enabling it to meet the demands of directors at the push of a button - reducing the administrative strain of compiling reports, whilst raising HR’s profile at board level.
