Talon - 'Better Than Before' at Aspull
Civic Hall
After eight years, more than one thousand
theatre performances and a following of over twenty thousand fans, Talon
will soon be touring their long awaited original album ‘Better Than
Before’. In a one spot format, supported by their special guest artiste,
they will be performing their original songs plus a few surprises at
Aspull Civic Hall on Friday 9th September.
Talon, known for their top Eagles tribute shows, released their debut
Country-Rock single ‘Town Called Heartbreak’, in March 2004 to critical
acclaim. This initial success was the catalyst for the completion of the
album and subsequent UK tour. The album features twelve self-penned
tracks that cross the musical spectrum of rock, pop and country, creating
the unique sound that is Talon.
“Talon’s previous shows in Wigan have proved to be very popular with
audiences. It is no surprise they have moved on from performing as the
Eagles to showcase their own original material. Anyone who has ever seen
them perform before will tell you they are excellent musicians”, enthused
Brian Yates, Leisure Venues Manager for Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust.
For those not familiar with their previous work, you can expect rich vocal
harmonies and soaring guitars, resulting in a popular blend of world class
musicianship and laid back humour in one truly memorable evening.
Tickets for the show cost £8.50 and are available from Wigan Tourist
Information Centre (located opposite Wigan North Western Train Station)
Tel. 01942 825677.
