Story Time Brought to Life at Haigh this Summer
Paying tribute to family classics including ‘The Secret Garden,’ ‘Wind in the Willows’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘The Railway Children’, the story teller events provide something for everyone, young and old. Set in the picturesque walled gardens of Haigh Country Park, performances are held twice daily with open-air tickets available for all the family. Highly trained and experienced actors bring the performances to life using costumes, scenery, props, song and a sense of fun. Ian Sturzaker, Deputy Manager at Haigh Hall and Country Park commented: “We introduced the children’s theatre a couple of years ago as something that all of the family can enjoy. To date the events have proved to be extremely popular and we are delighted to once again be hosting this literary treat” Dates for the performances are as follows:
Friday 22nd July- ‘The Secret Garden’ Performance Times: 12 noon and 2pm for each production. Prices are £4.50 for Adults and £3.50 for Children & Concessions (booking is advisable through The Tourist Information Centre on: 01942 832895).
