How to get here
BY CAR : The Park lies close to the A580 East Lancashire Road and is well signposted from it
BY BUS : From Leigh Bus Station take the 600 to the outskirts of the Park, alight at the Robin Hood pub, for details Tel 01942 883501
ON FOOT : The Park is only a short walk away from Leigh town centre, there is a footpath entrance into the Eastside of the Park from St Helens Road, which will take you along the old Pennington Railway line

• Mesnes Park occupies a 12 hectare site immediately to the North-West of Wigan town centre.
• Mesnes Park offers a range of facilities that all the family can get involved in. From the fantastic play area to the brilliant newly restored pavilion which house Fredericks café.
• Offers a wide range of activities offered by the rangers including craft activities and interesting talks, plus much much more.
• The park has an active friends of group 'friends of mesnes park' who work along side Wigan Leisure and culture Trust (WLCT) and Wigan council to improve the park for the community and its visitors.

On Foot
From Wigan Town Centre:
Mesnes Park is within walking distance of the town centre, bus station and train stations.
From the main shopping street you can either:
head down Market Street crossing New Market Street, towards the Big Wheel of Wigan College. Continue down Parsons Walk passing the big wheel on your left and the Thomas Linacre Outpatients Department on your right.. Mesnes Park is on your right.
Head down Mesnes Street, crossing New Market Street, continue along Mesnes Street, crossing Mesnes Park Terrace and through the main gates of the park on the corner of Mesnes Park Terrace and Bridgeman Terrace.
By Car
From Motorway:
From Junction 25 of the M6 motorway, the park is accessible via Warrington Road (A49), taking the third exit at the roundabout onto Poolstock Lane. Continue to follow B5238, straight through one roundabout, onto Chapel Lane. Continue onto River Way (A49), turn left at Powell Street and turn right at Bridgeman Terrace. The park is on the left. Junction 25 is north bound exit only, Junction 24 is south bound exit only.
