Why should I choose Haigh Hall for our wedding?

Haigh Hall is the perfect venue for a magnificent wedding. Set within 250 acres of beautiful country park and woodland, the Grade II Listed Hall is a vantage point for spectacular views across the Douglas Valley to the Welsh Hills.

The location of Haigh Hall, its elegant interiors and stunning features - including the Grand Staircase - make an ideal backdrop for striking photographs.

 

Featuring rooms such as The Grand Ballroom and elegant Douglas Suite it makes for the perfect wedding venue. The Hall is completely accessible as modifications include a lift and automatic doors.

How much does it cost to get married at Haigh Hall?

There's a lot to take into account when it comes to weddings. Flowers, food, entertainment, special decorations - and that's probably just the beginning.

 

But you still need to get a rough idea of what you might expect to pay. A real ballpark estimate.

 

Let's look at some basics. This assumes you're taking the Emerald Package, one of four wedding options available at Haigh Hall:

 

Ceremony room hire: £250
40 day guests: £57.95 each
80 evening guests: £14.25 each

Total: £3,708

 

Of course this is just a guide. We do so much more than provide you with a fabulous place to exchange vows and eat in style with your friends and family.

How many guests can we invite?

The minimum number of guests for a wedding breakfast at Haigh Hall is 40 adults in the Douglas Suite and 60 adults in the Grand Ballroom.

 

Evening receptions and buffet minimum numbers are 80 in the Douglas Suite and 100 in the Grand Ballroom.

 

Can we book just a wedding breakfast or the evening reception at Haigh Hall?

During the months of May to September and December a full wedding package is required for all Saturday bookings, please speak to the management regarding your proposed date.

 

A full wedding package includes both a wedding breakfast and evening reception with buffet at our minimum numbers.

 

 

Self Catered weddings and events

Haigh Hall welcomes self catered weddings and events.  These events require the exclusive use of the Hall and professional caterers brought in by the Hirer.  Hire charges start at £2500 for upto 200 guests.  Please contact our team for more information.

 

 

About the bar

The bar closes at 12.30am with 30 minutes drinking time. Additional hours charged at £300 per hour.

 

What do I need to know about getting a wedding licence?

You need to both confirm your preferred date with us and contact the registrar (contact telephone 01942 489003). The contents of the ceremony must be agreed in advance with the Superintendent Registrar. Only a civil, non-religious ceremony can be permitted. All arrangements necessary to enable the ceremony to take place remain the responsibility of the client. Provisional ceremony bookings can be made with the registrar up to two years in advance of wedding reception dates. Ceremonies must be booked at the time of booking Haigh Hall to avoid disappointment. It is not the responsibility of Haigh Hall to remind customers to book their ceremony with the registrar’s office. Ceremony timings must be agreed with Haigh Hall before booking.


 

Where will my wedding ceremony be held?

Ceremonies can either be held on the ground or first floor, depending on which Suite you have chosen for your wedding.  You can also book exclusive use of the Hall.

 

Do we get exclusive use of Haigh Hall for our wedding?

You can enjoy exclusive use of the Hall for your wedding party. Prices are available on application - please contact us for details.

Can we hold a civil ceremony at Haigh Hall?

Of course!

 

You may be holding your ceremony at one of the beautiful churches close to Haigh Hall, or you can create your own ceremony right here.

 

Our rooms are fully licensed for civil marriages, so the registrar can attend and complete the registration as part of your occasion.

Which wedding services do you offer?

A personal wedding co-ordinator will assist with making all the necessary arrangements such as room planning, menu choice and timetables, and will be on hand throughout the wedding celebrations. Our Wedding Day Service can include the following:

 

  • Personal attention from our wedding co-ordinator
  • Special table arrangements and layouts 
  • Choice of champagne or wines for receptions, wedding breakfasts and toasts 
  • Advice on local florists, entertainment, wedding transport, video, photographers.
