Many libraries will be operating differently as the borough’s library service budget has been reduced by £1.1m as a result of government cuts this year.

The new look library service has achieved this by reducing some opening hours in certain locations, relocating services and by maximising stock and staff rotation across libraries.

The new model has been developed in response to extensive public consultation undertaken across the borough, taking into account key issues such as local demand, lifestyle needs and cost effectiveness.
