Access
 |
Disabled access to the building is via a ramp at front and
through automatic doors. Access to the gallery on the first
floor is by stairs or lift. |

The Derby Room is fitted with an induction loop. |

Guide dogs are admitted. Gallery Guide information in large
print is available on request. |

Toilet facilities are on the first floor and include a
disabled toilet. |

A
paying car park is available next to the gallery with
designated disabled spaces and there is a drop-off point. |
Travel
The gallery is situated between the Town Hall and St Mary's
Church in the centre of Leigh, and a three minute walk from
Leigh Bus Station.
By Bus
582 from Bolton town centre bus station
X34 from Manchester city centre, Piccadilly Gardens
658 from Wigan town cente bus station

By Rail
The nearest railway station is in Atherton, a ten minute bus
ride (bus number 582) away from Leigh Town Centre.
By Car
Junction 23 off the M6, follow signs for Manchester (A580)
and Leigh (A579).
Junction 4 off the M61, follow signs for Leigh (A579).
From Manchester, follow the A580 and the A572 towards Leigh. A
multi-storey pay and display car park is situated adjacent to
the Turnpike Centre, accessed from Bengal Street.
Hire of Derby Room
The
Derby Room is a 150 seat, multi-function
meeting room is available for hire. Facilities and equipment
available include: TV, video, P.A. system, piano, slide projector
and screen, overhead projector, licensed bar, refreshment and
catering, tables, chairs and staging. For further details please

page. Artists are welcome to contact
Martyn Lucas at the Turnpike Gallery on 01942 404469 if they are
interested in exhibiting their work in the Derby Room.
