Directory of Artists and Art Organisations
Would you like the opportunity to be included in the Borough's
artists directory? This is a file resource kept within our
Headquarters showing examples of North-West based artists and Arts
agencies work. The directory can be accessed by Council Departments
and local groups and is being developed in
response to the growing
number of enquiries we receive for information on artists who can
facilitate work and projects with community groups. In the future
we
hope this information will become available as a database or
web-page.

Guidelines

Please complete and return the

VISUAL ARTS
The
Turnpike Gallery and
Drumcroon Education
Centre offer the visitor the opportunity to see the very
best of contemporary arts and crafts. The Wickham Gallery on the
ground floor of the History Shop has a collection of nineteenth
century masterpieces (as well as a Charter Mural by our own
Gerard Rickards). The Derby Room at Leigh and the Wigan Library
Gallery offer public exhibition opportunities to local artists
and groups. Whatever your tastes, you will find something you
like in Wigan.
