Closed Circuit Television Systems exists within Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust. These systems are in a number of strategic locations across Wigan Borough including Libraries, Parks, Sports Centres, Offices and other public areas.

We have installed CCTV systems to prevent crime, identify offenders and provide a safer environment to all. It endeavours to uphold the civil liberties of WLCT employees, customers, local residents and other genuine users of the surveillance area.

What you can expect from WLCT CCTV Systems:

• WLCT will ensure all CCTV systems and the cameras connected to these systems are located to capture images relating directly to the purpose of the system
• WLCT will ensure there is clear signage at sites were CCTV is located
• WLCT has developed a CCTV Code of Practice that will be constantly reviewed and updated. It has been drawn up to govern the management of all WLCT CCTV systems.
