Sports Centre provides some of the finest facilities within the
region catering for all ages and all abilities. Managed by Wigan Leisure & Culture Trust and Active Life, the

Leigh Indoor Sports Centre – A Vision of the
Future
Swimming Pool
Consisting of six lanes, our 25 metre pool is constructed to ASA
guidelines enabling us to stage galas up to regional standard, with
spectator seating for 180 and space for 150 competitors. Leigh Indoor
Sports Centre is the ideal venue for swimming events. For those who
like to take things at a slower pace our pool provides early bird
sessions most mornings and casual swimming every day of the week. (There
will be changes to the pool programme during holiday periods, please
contact reception for details)
 The
Sports Hall
Complete with a fully sprung timber floor, our sports hall consists
of eight badminton courts, 2 basketball and netball courts. With its 280
retractable seats and the ability to house events with up to 900
spectators we can cater for events such as gymnastics, table tennis,
badminton or even fairs and conferences. Whether its just for a game of
badminton or a major event the sports hall at Leigh Indoor Sports Centre
can meet your needs.
 
Our fantastic new Profiles Health & Fitness Suite
is fitted out
with the latest state of the art Technogym equipment. In total, Profiles
houses sixty-five work stations ranging from resistance machines to
cardiovascular equipment complete with individual TV monitors. There
is no better place to stay in shape than Profiles at Leigh Indoor
Sports Centre. Membership to Profiles also entitles you to free swimming
and access to Profiles at Ashton Leisure Centre, Howe Bridge Sports
Centre, Hindley Sports Centre, Robin Park Sports Centre and Wigan
International Pool.
Multi-Purpose Hall &
Aerobic Studio
Complimenting our other facilities and activities our multi-purpose room
and Aerobic Studio provides additional health & fitness sessions, offering an
alternative to your Profiles workout. Included in the health and fitness
sessions are the latest ventures such as Expresso 45
running alongside the more traditional aerobics and circuits. The
Studio hosts a wide range of classes from low impact
sessions to high intensity so all ages and abilities have
opportunities to work out. Please refer to our Aerobic & Fitness
programme for further details.
