What is ‘myguide’?
It’s a website that provides access to the internet, and offers a free,
easy-to-use email account and search facility. There are many ways that
you can personalise myguide to suit you, but perhaps one of its most
useful functions is ‘hear it’. This reads the text out on the screen.
myguide is aimed at absolute beginners, is free to use and is designed
for people who have never used email or the internet before.

What support will I get?
You will get help and support from staff in the library. At each of the
three myguide libraries, there is a dedicated staff member to assist
you. This means that whichever of the three libraries you visit, you can
be assured that you’re not on your own whilst you’re getting to grips
with email and the internet!
How can myguide help me?
Learning how to use the internet and send emails can open up a whole
world of possibilities. How about doing your food shopping online, or
opening an online bank account? Perhaps you want to keep in touch with
friends and relations at home and away, or you’d like to visit them by
booking an online holiday? Who said the internet wasn’t for you?
Using myguide, you will be able to join in the internet revolution, and
you can be assured that you have an accessible, free and easy-to-use
email account.
