Learning in Libraries

If you’re looking to learn a new skill or brush up on some old ones, libraries offer an informal learning space where you can work towards your own aims, in your own time.

You can be assured that our staff will be on hand to help guide you through the process and to support you in whatever ways they can. You will be able to learn in relaxed and comfortable surroundings where the atmosphere is friendly and informal.

Why not join one of our beginners courses where you can work in a small group with support and encouragement from a tutor? Come along each week and enjoy learning something new. Of course, there’s more to this than just learning new skills; you’ll also meet new people and make new friends.

That’s what learning in libraries is all about, so if you feel you’re missing out, come on in and see how we can help you lead the life you want to live.

We know it can be a little scary to come back to learning as an adult; once you’ve stepped through the doors of one of our libraries, you can be assured that you’re in good hands and that you’re well on the way to achieving your goals.
