Assistive Technology in Wigan Libraries

Wigan Libraries have a range of assistive tools that are designed to make your computer session more comfortable and productive.

If there’s something that you would like to use, please contact a member of library staff. Not all of the equipment is available at every branch. However, it can easily be arranged for an item to be brought to your local library.

Large trackball mouse suitable for users needing more support

TextHelp Software
Texthelp is a literacy support tool designed to assist users of all ages who require extra help when reading or writing text. Please note that this is only available at Leigh library.

Supernova
Supernova provides a screen reader and magnifier that is suitable for all visually impaired users, from low vision to blind.
