Jubilee Park, AshtonAt last, summer is here, so get outdoors while you can and enjoy the sun whilst making summer baskets, going on health walks, listening to bands in the park or joining in one of our fantastic festivals. With British weather being unpredictable, if it rains don’t worry, as we have lots of indoor activities on offer too including activities and workshops at the Turnpike Gallery or in your local library. For those more active, why not join the gym or take advantage of the free swimming on offer in all our pools. With all this you're sure to have a fun and active summer!

Remember booking is essential for many events so we would advise to always ring your chosen venue beforehand to avoid disappointment. WLCT takes no responsibility for the accuracy of the information contained within this guide.

Please note: The ‘what’s on’ guide is only as good as the events that are contained within it, so please remember to keep your entries coming in.

Don’t forget that we also need to be informed of any changes that occur to your activities, particularly those listed within regular events and community events.

The deadline for the Aug/Sept/Oct 09 issue is FRIDAY 19th June – we need to have your entries before this date.
