There is mile upon mile of trails and pathways, bridleways and towpaths; the borough offers mosslands and wetlands, plantations and the famous Flashes, all brimming with lush vegitation and a remarkable collection of wildlife. Wigan Borough has no fewer than twenty-two parcels of ancient woodland and seventeen managed parks.
Our popular event programmes will take you through the changing seasons, offering something for every age and every taste. Bat walks, timberland trails, orienteering, rambling clubs, the list is ever-growing.
