Youth Councils coming to an area near you
14 July 2011
Are you a young person who wants to get involved and make positive changes in your area?

Then look out for these youth workers who are coming to a neighbourhood near you!

Over the coming weeks the borough’s youth councils are going on tour to drum up support and new members.

Youth workers will be visiting different areas in the Feel Well Bus, asking young people to get involved.

Wigan Council youth worker Cathy Morley said: “This is a really good opportunity for young people to get involved in something positive.

“Not only will it open up exciting trips and activities to them, but they will also have the chance to change things for the better in their area.

“Badly lit areas, problems with public transport – these are all things that can be tackled at your local youth council. You could be the representative for young people in your area.”

Over the coming weeks the bus will be in the following areas:
- June 1st - 6.45pm - 7.45pm at Winstanley Shops
         - 8 - 9pm at Orrell Water Park.
June 8th – Norley Hall shops.
June 15th – Tour of the borough.
