The Trouble With Girls by John Fazackerly

I saw a girl
Giving me the eye
So I tried to go over, tried to say ‘hi’
But I opened my mouth,
And swallowed a fly.
As I choked
The girl laughed ‘till she cried.

A new girl joined our class today
Wore a pretty skirt and a red pullover
Said she’d moved up here from Dover.
I went over, just to talk about homework
But didn’t see the chair and soon fell over.

Another girl, her name was Anna.
Was sitting under an advertising banner.
She looked quite hungry
So I offered her a banana.
But then I burped and she slapped me
Saying ‘Mind your manners”

I’m rubbish with girls
But never mind
I’m sure one will like me
Eventually, some time.
