Ask me yesterday,
I’d tell you tomorrow,
But tomorrow never came.
And yesterday is gone forever,
To hide behind empty screen.
To hide until another day,
When light will shine again.
Words, moulding, shaping, typing,
Forming, tears against her face,
As guilt drips slowly, full of pain,
To quench my prayers again.
Today may be forgotten,
But tomorrow’s just begun.

You see her waiting for you,
Her eyes piercing deep into your heart.
Her forgiving, unforgetting eyes,
Loving you so much.
But never can you forget,
The thing you put her through.
The words, failing, falling, out my mouth,
Hoping for some sense, to come.
A love that doesn’t want her,
But wants to dry her eyes,
And make it right again.
But still I look,
And still I think,
Could you ever love her, would it ever work?
Or are you making feelings,
From a mould so formed by words.
Tomorrow makes it go away,
Tomorrow heals the pain,
But still tomorrow holds the key,
To what went wrong today.
Today may be forgotten,
But tomorrow’s just begun…
