 These feelings I had for you have very much gone,
Mostly because of the things you've done.
My love for you blinded me,
And it's only now that I can see
All the wrongs you did, the hurt you caused.
I am only so glad I found the key,
To unlock the door and set me free.
Except this time I didn't come back,
Those things you said felt like you'd stabbed me in the back.
The words you said are still loud and clear,
One thing changed though, I no longer live in fear.
The times when you shouted and screamed,
Smashed things up and wouldn't let me leave.
Since then I've started to believe,
In me, myself, the things I can achieve.
It's only now that were apart,

I stayed with you out of pity and fear,
It's amazing how my life has become so clear.
