Yes we know, we skipped a month! But
honestly, with the impending deadlines for the latest ‘LINC mag looming
over us throughout the month of April, we just didn’t have the time to
flick on the radio and check out what was going on.
Fear not though, we’re back and we’re hear to stay. Well, at least until
the next magazine is due out!
Gym Class Heroes – Cupid’s Chokehold
With a guest appearance from old mumble mouth, Fall Out Boy’s Patrick
Stump and being *ahem* ‘influenced’ by Supertramp’s ‘Breakfast In
America’ , this is easily one of the most catchy, breezy and fun songs
we’ve heard in a long while. A great hook and a great beat schmooze
together in this ode to the excitement and enticement of newly found
love, and we absolutely love it. Ba da da da dah indeed!
The Runners Up
Mika – Love Today
If our top choice this month was the most catchy, breezy and fun song
we’ve heard in a while, then Mika’s second slice of summery pop was at
least a very close second. Glorious.
Testosterone – Your Johnny Depp
Wigan’s answer to Blink 182 give their most popular tune to date an
official single release. This ode to the Pirates of the Caribbean actor
is fast blast of pure punk, yet it’s actually quite sweet.
