We’ve been spoilt for choice again this
month, with plenty of great tunes doing their best to lift our moods
throughout the drab summer showers. And so, with so much great music to
talk about, let’s cut all the babble and announce that August’s Single
of the Month is…
 Plain White T’s – Hey There Delilah
This warm and bubbly acoustic number from Illinois pop-punk outfit Plain
White T’s is so smooth and enjoyable that we practically fell in love
with it on first listen. Apparently, the song’s been kicking around for
ages on older PWT releases, but it’s been brought back out to shine
thanks to it’s huge popularity, and it’s not hard to see why. This is
just one fantastic piece of music.
The Runners Up
Kanye West – Stronger
A great track from West’s upcoming album ‘Graduation Day’ that sees the
award winning rapper waxing lyrical over Daft Punk’s ‘Harder, Better,
Faster, Stronger’. It’s a winning combination that should fare well in
the charts.
Linkin Park – Bleed it Out
Certainly one of the better cuts from their hit ‘n’ miss album ‘Minutes
to Midnight’ . It’s an awesome ode to the Linkin Park of old, and a
track that, back when we reviewed the album we said was “destined to be
a hit single.”. Please allow us this one moment of smugness to say ‘told
ya so!’
