Health Zone
The teenage health service, Health Zone, at Rose Bridge High School, is open to all teenagers in the area - not just Rose Bridge pupils - and has a separate entrance on Holt Street so that you don't have to go through the school. There is a nurse on hand from 1.00pm until 5.00pm to help and advise on issues such as pregnancy testing, emergency contraception (morning-after pill), condoms/C Card, Chlamydia testing, and more. General information and advice on relationships, sex, drugs, alcohol, smoking, mental health and general health is also available from a range of other workers on-site including youth workers and staff from the Young People's Drug & Alcohol Team and Brook.

The Young People’s Drug and Alcohol Team is a local service for all young people aged 18 and under who are experiencing problems or have concerns about drugs or alcohol. The service also offers advice and support for concerned parents and carers. A young people’s drug and alcohol trained officer is available Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Pop along the WISH drop-in on Wednesdays to chat about all your sexual health and relationship concerns, or just for a brew and a natter!

Little London is the free, confidential young people’s counselling service for young people aged 11-25 in Wigan Borough. Call and leave a confidential answer message. Little London counsellors will then get back to you.

Young Parents Support Team: 01942 828918
The Young Parents Support Team offers down to earth, practical advice and information to young parents under the age of 19. They’ll be able to offer you support on continuing with, or getting back into education, training or employment, teenage parenthood education classes, sexual health information and much more.

Leigh Walk-in Centre: 01942 264002
Leigh Walk-in centre is open 7am-9pm seven days a week. It is based at Leigh Infirmary, The Avenue, Leigh, WN7 1HW. You can get health care advice, treatment and emergency contraception, without having to make an appointment. It is the last building to the left hand side of the main entrance in Leigh.
