| Manchester Still "Mad Ferrit" |

However the clubbing scene is the pinnacle of the city at night with fantastic nights at many different venues. Any clued up clubber will tell you where the best nights are at depending what you fancy. If you’re out and you ‘dig’ the Indie scene then it’s 5th Avenue located on Princess Street, basically it’s a great night out and it’s cheap which as you can imagine is very popular with students and locals alike. If you don’t mind putting up with the smell of sweat the dance floor is always packed and the play list ranges from Queen to right up to The Killers, what's more nine times out of ten you can guarantee the last song is going to be a classic Oasis track during which the crowd never fail to go wild one last time before heading off in search for a kebab. Another Indie club would be 42nd Street; both clubs are so similar from the crowd right up to the name although 42’s defiantly doesn’t have the same friendly party vibe as 5th Ave and the cues simply aren’t worth the wait especially in the middle of winter! But what better way to raise the temperature than a trip to some of Manchester’s hottest dance, Hip Hop and R ’n B clubs such as M2, Walkabout, Teaser’s and Sports Café to name just a few. It always seems to surprise me how these places have the ability to read the crowd and adjust their tunage accordingly ensuring an astounding atmosphere. The choice of club is very much up to the clubber nevertheless these are the kind of venues to hit if you and your mates are up for a great night with the sincere possibility of pulling at the end of the night.
Other clubs on offer are Sankey’s Soap, which is the club for the
genuine dance music followers, some of whom may still wish to live in
their own acid-house fantasy, surrounded by glow sticks and UV paint.
However Sankey’s have showcased DJ’s and acts such as Groove Armarda, 2
Many Dj’s and the well-established Tribal Gathering nights since 1993,
sound good? Then Sankey’s Soap will have you reaching for the lasers
until the early hours. |
