I held her delicate hands,
So sure when darkness falls.
All dreams, all aspirations shattered,
When the devil’s justice calls.

An innocent mind lay still,
So sudden were our fears.
I’m blinded by her innocence,
That bring a flow to my ears.

Her eyes told a shocking truth,
Hope did not find its path to fate.
I prayed so hard to change destiny,
Why couldn’t she have arrived late?

Such horror blanketed my thoughts,
When I held her so close to my heart.
If only she could hear the sounds of some other beat,
We would not have drifted apart.

I gave her an eternal stare,
So fragile did she seem.
I felt so drowned in my imagination,
Hoping that it was a dream.

From the moment our eyes met,
Forgiveness I could not hold.
The anger and rage within me,
Is continuing to unfold...
