Process International Hip Hop Film Festival 08 is a groundbreaking three
day event, a first for the City of Manchester and North West region of
England.
The film festival will exhibit films inspired by and representative of
global Hip Hop culture. Each day of the festival offers a different
focus, with innovative, original modern films, through a diverse
screenings of key programmes of shorts, documentaries and feature films.
Now open for submissions, the film festival is looking for films made by
artists and communities of emerging and professional filmmakers inspired
by, and based upon hip hop culture.
With an underlying emphasis upon creativity being produced within urban
environments, people intending to submit films should enter work within
the following categories; drama, documentary, animation, experimental,
dance, music-based, or a combination of these elements.
Deadline for submission to the film festival is July 1st 2008.
All films programmed to be screened and exhibited between 7-9 August
2008 at University of Manchester’s The Martin Harris Centre for Drama
and Music.
