And all you didn’t do
You can’t redeem the moment back
The opportunity is through.
I think we all feel the guild
For the times in life we waste
In our anger, for the walls we built
Moving on with too much haste.
Why is it we don’t speak about
The love we hold inside?
The encouragement we don’t express
And the honesty we hide.
Do we think it would be easier
To leave it until later?
When the experiences are less real
And the moment becomes safer?
The problem is, that no one’s ever said
We’d get another chance
To get lazily out of bed
And experience life’s romance.
We might not get to say
The things we hoped we would
Live the dreams we wanted to
The things we knew we should.
So on whatever day it happens to be
And you’re about to communicate
