across the borough.
When: We can be contacted during office hours at Robin Park Arena

through the Wigan Borough Sports Council Website

Alternatively young people can take part in our many activities held
throughout the borough including after school and holiday activities.
Details of which are passed on through schools, leisure centres and
libraries.
What happens here: We can help in many ways depending on who you
are and what you want to achieve. We provide help and information on a
variety of areas including:
• For those looking to improve their sporting abilities
• Provide information on local sports clubs and activity programmes in a
wide variety of sports that cater for all ages/ability levels
• Access to quality coaching programmes catering for all young people
• access to player development and talent identification programmes
• access to regional and national sports development initiatives
• access to high profile events and competitions such as the Greater
Manchester Youth Games
• Links to the millennium volunteers/junior sports leaders and community
sports leaders programmes, with the opportunity to access community
placements and experience
• Access to training opportunities via an annual programme of coach
education courses.
• Opportunities for paid/voluntary involvement in sport
