 Clownprince are not your run of the mill,
average four-piece band.
Since arriving on the Wigan music scene, a little over a year ago, this
curious quartet has established themselves as one of the most exciting
and notorious on the Wigan music scene. Their influences range the
dulcet tones of Johnny Mathis, to the sneer and brutality of the Sex
Pistols. They describe their style of music as ‘Council House.’
Clownprince’s song writing encapsulates all aspects of life as viewed by
people born on the wrong side of the tracks. They blend pathos with
tongue in cheek humour in the most English self-deprecating way as only
they can.
