| Carpe Diem by Chris Skoyles |
Girls and boys come out to playCome carpe diem, seize the day Come live a little, then a little more Open the curtains, unlock all the doors Come sing a little, then a little more! Wear your make up, wear it proud! Sing a song, sing it loud! Taste the treats that tantalise Place new beauties before your eyes Look for melody and blend it in With six sweet scents into your skin Be free, be happy, and all the rest! Be and do whatever suits you best Tell someone you love, that you do Tell them all the nice things that are true Read them a poem Tell them a story Tell them to relax, no need to worry Find just one stranger, and make some new friends Then assure all your best friends That you're there 'till the end Make up with your enemies Burn all bad memories With a light from the sun. Dance a dance, and dance all night Just take a chance, it'll be alright At the end of the day, you'll lie in bed All snug and tight as you rest your head And you'll look back, and say with a smile Today was alright, good, and worthwhile. |
