What if I’m unhappy with my childcare
provider?
Your first step is to discuss your concern with your childcare provider
to see if you can resolve things.

What if there’s a child protection issue?
If you think a child in the care of a childminder or day care provider
may be at risk of abuse or neglect, you should contact OFSTED
immediately on 08456 404040.
You should also contact the Wigan Council’s Children in Need Duty Team,
phone 01942 828300 (Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 5pm). Outside these
hours, phone the Central Duty Team on 01942 828777.
