 Wigan Pier Theatre Company
Looking AheadWPTC is
continually looking at ways to develop and expand the vast range of
services we offer to the local community and to give help and support
where we can. Even if we cant deliver a project ourselves we will know
someone who can. Please just pick up the phone, write or e-mail and we
will be happy to discuss your ideas.
Plans for the next few years include:
Development of youth theatres and community theatre groups around the
Borough to increase participation opportunities as well as increasing
the amount of public performances.
Development of a Theatre-in-Education project steering group, to help
develop more issue based education work to targeted schools.
Development of the role-play and training work with dedicated artists
developing new ideas.
Formation of a small-scale inclusive theatre company to tour
issue-based work in partnership with SCOPE and Positive Futures.
A project with Wigan Parish Church, to help lead school groups in arts
work and dramatic interpretation work based around the historic
building.
Co-ordination of a programme of marketing support to voluntary arts
organisations.
