Family Learning
Family Learning is a brilliant way for a
family unit (whether that is children and parents/carers/grandparents
etc) to spend quality time together, learn together and have lots of
fun.
The family is the foundation for children’s learning and there are many
benefits of getting involved in family learning activities.
Throughout the year, Wigan Heritage Services provide an exciting
programme of family learning activities both at community venues across
the Borough as well as at our Heritage sites, The History Shop and
Trencherfield Mill.
Some of our current Family Learning activities include:
• Workshops about Victorian education at local libraries;
• Seasonal activities (i.e. Christmas, Halloween) at The History Shop
and Trencherfield Mill Steam Engine;
• Family History sessions at local libraries.
