WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Super Saturdays
Starting in January, the Turnpike Gallery will be offering a brand new monthly event for families, delivered in partnership with Leigh Library and Leigh Local Studies. There’ll be loads of fun, free, family-friendly activities taking place throughout the Turnpike Centre and there’s no need to book – you can just turn up on the day. There’ll be a different theme each month so you can keep coming back to try something new.
Saturday 28 April - Play Time
Be inspired by our new exhibition Art + Play, designed specially for children under 5, and make your own sensory toy that you’ll be able to hear, see, smell and touch.
Saturday 26 May - A Right Royal Knees Up
Get ready for the Royal celebrations by making your own bunting and flags complete with crowns and corgis.
Saturday 30 June - Beastly Machines
Our summer exhibition will be full of larger than life beasts so come along and make a mini beast from recycled and junk materials.
All sessions run from 11.00am-2.30pm.
